About the 2008 Program
- The program period was September 15, 2008 - Nov. 13, 2008
- Residents of Greater New Orleans were encouraged to share the experience of reading City of Refuge together.
- Several featured events, discussion groups, and children’s events were be held around Greater New Orleans.
- We donated over a thousand copies of City of Refuge to libraries, schools, adult literacy programs, and other community organizations.
- Our program ended Nov. 13th with an Evening with the Author at Loyola University, Nunemaker Auditorium.

Book Nominations
City of Refuge was one of the books nominated earlier this year when we asked for nominations from the Greater New Orleans community. (It was suggested by a couple of bookstores; our special thanks to Garden District Book Shop and Octavia Books).
